Ouzo The Band

  A Summer ago for you, but what felt like almost ten years ago for us, we went camping

south of Crete, a place called Gaidouronisi. Not a very big place, quite virgin still, so

apart from enjoying swimming in the surrounding clear blue waters, we also found it

entertaining to explore around. In one of these excursions we discovered a cave.

We had to swim in order to enter and inside mysterious reflections filled the walls.

The atmosphere resembled an 80's discotheque, only instead of a dance floor in the middle

laid the green-blue colored calm water, like a lit up round pool* although there was no clue

as to where that light came from. Then we decided to dive right in the center of it and

that's when it happened! Suddenly music started playing from a distance and the water

circled around us. Before we could even react, we found ourselves in a real-time 80's disco.

How that happened and why we still can't explain! We spent ten years back in time, investigating the matter plus, living, loving, playing lots of music and collaborating with people from that era!

…But that's another story we plan to write a book about in the future. When we got back here, probably through the same wormhole we got shucked in, the summer was almost over, our camping gear gone and we had to return home. We immediately got into our studio and started composing and recording. Only this time our work was really inspired by this unexpected trip of ours and that's something you can all realize by listening to these tracks!
